The book has proven popular among geology students. Changes to the material consider this, with increased focus on ore mineral exploration through strengthened sections on electromagnetic and induced polarization techniques. Nevertheless, the book continues to prioritize seismic and resistivity methods commonly employed in engineering geophysics, rather than striving to comprehensively cover industry-wide practices..
